About the position

The Construction Regional Program Manager at Parsons Corporation is responsible for overseeing the management and direction of a team involved in the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role involves ensuring the successful execution of various engineering and construction projects across the nation, managing a program valued up to $50 million, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The position is primarily remote with occasional visits to the Washington, DC office.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of a regional office supporting local customer needs.
  • Acts as the Company representative with clients and subcontractors during program execution.
  • Manages a staff of technical employees including project managers, engineers, and field operations staff.
  • Monitors team performance and adjusts staffing as necessary to ensure optimal results.
  • Develops staff through training and mentorship.
  • Manages incoming work requests from local clients, including task analysis and implementation strategies.
  • Oversees project processes and procedures in accordance with the approved Program Management Plan.
  • Promotes technical excellence through Quality Assurance processes and monitors project performance.
  • Reports to National Program management on project progress and significant milestones.
  • Performs other responsibilities as appropriate.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience in engineering or related field.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or related field.
  • Broad general engineering background and project/program management experience.
  • Experience working on FAA or aviation projects is preferred.
  • Ability to meet customer security requirements, including a federal background check.
