About the position
The Construction Superintendent at Chris-Tel Construction is responsible for overseeing the entire construction project from mobilization to close-out. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills to manage day-to-day operations on the job site, ensuring that all work is completed with high quality, on schedule, and within budget. The Superintendent will work closely with subcontractors and vendors, enforce safety policies, and maintain effective communication with all team members.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate all sub-contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure adherence to safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure all quality control standards are met and complete daily logs of field operations.
- Communicate job progress effectively with team members and provide reports on job status.
- Ensure the project stays on schedule and provide schedule updates, including 3-week look ahead schedules.
- Coordinate and lead weekly sub-contractor coordination and safety meetings.
- Attend and participate in all OAC meetings.
- Manage and coordinate all building inspections.
- Perform any additional duties as reasonably assigned.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management is preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Build for reporting and viewing plans is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project) is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a plus.
