About the position

The Construction Superintendent at JF Petroleum Group plays a crucial leadership role on job sites, ensuring efficient progress and adherence to project requirements. This position involves direct supervision of subcontractors, communication with clients, and maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of all onsite subcontractors.
• Communicate specific project requirements to site staff for safe and timely completion.
• Engage with customers or their representatives regarding project progress and issues.
• Read and understand plans, specifications, and relevant regulations.
• Lead pre-construction, safety, and progress schedule meetings.
• Maintain accurate daily records of project activities and progress.
• Supervise daily activities of workers, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
• Develop and convey the project schedule effectively.
• Enforce safety rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Lead weekly job-site safety meetings and maintain an orderly job site.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license is necessary.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position.
• Team player with high standards for appearance and professionalism.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work after hours and in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to safely operate industry-specific tools and equipment.
• Obtain and maintain necessary certifications.
