About the position

The Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage the daily operations of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires a strong background in ground-up commercial and multi-family construction projects, with a focus on safety compliance and effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations on the construction site to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and construction workers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
• Monitor project progress and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management.
• Extensive experience in ground-up commercial and multi-family construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Proficiency in project management software.

Nice-to-haves

• College degree in construction management, architecture, engineering; or possession of a GC license, or professional registration as an architect or engineer.
• Experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
