The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ground-up commercial and multi-family construction projects. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience and will primarily be based in the field, with a jobsite office or trailer provided for organizational tasks. Candidates should ideally be local to the Houston metro area, TX. Responsibilities Manage daily operations on the construction site to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and construction workers. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals. Monitor project progress and prepare reports for stakeholders. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process. Essential Skills Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management. Extensive experience in ground-up commercial and multi-family construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Proficiency in project management software. Additional Skills & Qualifications College degree in construction management, architecture, engineering; or possession of a GC license, or professional registration as an architect or engineer. Experience in managing large-scale construction projects. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Work Environment This is a full-time, salaried position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, with occasional 50-60+ hour weeks. Work hours are Monday through Friday, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role involves 80% local work in the Houston area and 20% travel around Texas. A jobsite office or trailer will be provided for organizational tasks. The work environment is primarily field-based, requiring travel to various job sites.
