About the position

The Solar Construction Superintendent will manage on-site operations for solar projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety regulations. This role involves overseeing subcontractors, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining communication with the project team. The position is ideal for individuals looking to advance their careers in solar construction, with no prior superintendent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site operations and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.
• Oversee quality control and perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Review and interpret construction drawings and plans to ensure work is executed according to specifications.
• Communicate regularly with the project team and provide updates on project progress.
• Manage subcontractors and their activities on-site.
• Coordinate work on-site and manage inventory and deliveries.
• Document project progress through photographs and reports to the project manager.
• Conduct inspections and document information from contractors and engineers.

Requirements

• Experience in commercial solar construction at any level is required.
• SWPPP certification, OSHA 30, NFPA70E, First Aid CPR and AED certifications are required (training can be provided).
• Strong experience in civil construction, electrical, and mechanical aspects of solar construction.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings (civil, electrical, and mechanical).
• Proficient with Procore, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Apple iPads.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to travel as required.
