Construction Worker - Building Repair Lead

The Construction Worker - Building Repair Lead at Morton Buildings, Inc. plays a crucial role in assisting the Service Crew Foreman with the repair and construction of quality building projects. This position emphasizes creating a positive construction experience for customers while leading a team that meets company objectives and adheres to safety and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Crew Foreman in repairing quality building projects.
• Promote a positive attitude and atmosphere within the construction team.
• Apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures to every project.
• Read, understand, and build according to construction plans.
• Execute tasks needed to complete quality projects, including digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, and installing windows and doors.
• Install various siding and roofing materials, including hi-rib steel, shingles, and mortarless masonry units.
• Provide leadership for the crew in all aspects of the building construction process.
• Adapt to different types of repairs and think outside the box.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve as needed.
• Travel with overnight stays up to 30% of the time.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience and expertise in quality building construction (post-frame preferred).
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Participation in MBI formal training programs.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License with CDL A.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and at various heights.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and work in various types of weather conditions.
• Skills needed to operate construction hand tools and other specialized equipment safely and effectively.
