Kirk's Remodeling and Custom Homes is seeking an experienced construction worker/carpenter to join our busy team in Shawnee, KS. The ideal candidate will possess a well-rounded skill set with significant experience in trim carpentry, sheetrock installation, mudding, finish work, and a background in electrical and plumbing tasks. This position requires a hands-on approach, as the candidate will be actively working on job sites and performing a variety of construction-related tasks. Daily responsibilities will include framing, installing sheetrock, taping, mudding, and sanding walls, as well as painting and trim carpentry. The candidate should be proficient in plumbing tasks such as disconnecting plumbing fixtures, installing faucets and drains, and have a general knowledge of plumbing systems. Additionally, electrical work will be part of the job, including hooking up outlets, switches, and running wiring. The candidate will also be responsible for hooking up appliances, including garbage disposals, dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens, washing machines, dryers, sinks, and faucets. We are looking for a leader who can ensure that tasks are completed to our high standards of quality. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of construction experience and a valid driver's license. Pay will be based on experience, and the position is full-time with an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday.
