The Construction Training Program at Hope Builders is designed to provide education, hands-on experience, and job placement opportunities within the construction industry in less than a year. This program is specifically tailored for individuals aged eighteen to twenty-eight who are looking to start their careers in construction. Participants will learn essential skills such as how to utilize heavy machinery, read blueprints, and understand the fundamentals of various trades including electrical, plumbing, roofing, and framing. The program runs for 12 weeks, with classes scheduled Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 2 PM at the Hope Builders facility in Santa Ana, CA. Throughout the program, trainees will receive a stipend of $1200, which is distributed over the duration of the training rather than hourly pay. This initiative encourages individuals with a criminal record to apply, promoting inclusivity and providing opportunities for those who may face barriers to employment. The program also emphasizes the importance of valid work documentation, requiring participants to provide necessary identification such as a California ID and Social Security Card, DACA, or Work Permit. Hope Builders is committed to supporting its trainees not only through education but also by offering professional development assistance and tuition reimbursement for further education. This comprehensive approach ensures that participants are well-prepared to enter the workforce upon completion of the program, equipped with both practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
