About The Position
24-7 Language Services is an interpreting agency that provides interpreting services to solicitors, firms, and companies nationwide. We are currently seeking interpreters who are interested in joining our panel to work on a freelance basis. This position allows you to work from home, utilizing telephone or video interpreting methods, while also having the opportunity to undertake face-to-face interpreting jobs. Our clients have diverse interpreting needs, which may arise in various settings including solicitors' offices, detention centers, prisons, hospitals, and other locations across the UK. To be considered for this role, candidates should possess some experience in interpreting and hold a relevant interpreting qualification. The main duties of the position include providing face-to-face, video, and telephonic interpreting services, as well as written translations. This freelance/casual position offers competitive rates that are dependent on your experience and qualifications. As an interpreter, you will be expected to excel in customer service, maintain ongoing access to the internet and email, and provide an accurate, confidential, and impartial service. Additionally, you must be eligible for self-employment in the UK, possess a current valid DBS clearance, and provide two interpreting references. Qualifications accepted for this role include various interpreting diplomas and certificates, as well as language-related degrees and diplomas.
