About The Position

As a Consultant in Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for demanding industrialization projects focusing on supplier relocation, start-up management, and production optimization for our customers until handover to the affected OEM plants according to APQP, VDA 6.1 and 6.3. Your role will involve ensuring material management readiness, strategic vendor management, supply assurance, and complex end-to-end supply chain expertise. You will implement and maintain a cross-functional supply chain/material maintenance strategy between multiple stakeholders and lead critical delivery situations, taking over task force project management at the interface between suppliers and vendors. Additionally, you will be responsible for strategic and operative project work for our international customers, performing root cause analyses, proposing changes in supply chain/logistics processes to improve operational efficiency, and managing relationships with suppliers to ensure Automotive Standard Services are maintained. You will also communicate, present, and interface directly with clients, supporting your team by taking on internal work and coaching others.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical, or similar field with a focus on supply chain management.
  • 3+ years of experience in the automotive and/or consulting sector.
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain principles, manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Strong passion for logistics, production 4.0, supply chain, and operations.
  • Ability to create clear status reports, identify issues, create solutions, and navigate resolutions.
  • Self-motivated and driven with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with powerful presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and possess common sense.
  • Ability to think 'out of the box' to create solutions when none exist.
  • Analytical and highly competent in Excel, Minitab, and ideally Power Bi.
  • Agile mindset and willingness to dive into uncharted waters.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills to manage, mitigate, and resolve conflicts.
  • Solid English skills; German and/or Spanish is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team by taking on internal work and coaching others.
