In this role, you will be responsible for conducting client diagnostic interviews, collecting and validating data, and performing comprehensive analyses of supply chain costs. You will engage in supply chain network modeling, transportation modeling, inventory modeling, and distribution center design. Your insights will contribute to process improvements and the development of actionable client recommendations. Responsibilities

  • Conduct and participate in diagnostic interviews with operations management personnel at client sites.
  • Perform data collection, validation, and analysis related to supply chain operations.
  • Compile supply chain costs and develop recommendations for clients.
  • Engage in supply chain network modeling and transportation modeling.
  • Design and improve processes for distribution centers.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President and Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Solutions on various projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management.
  • 1-3+ years of experience as a supply chain analyst, logistics engineer, or industrial engineer in a third-party logistics firm, management consulting firm, industrial manufacturer/distributor, retailer, or consumer products manufacturer.
  • Experience with supply chain network optimization and/or site selection analysis using LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru, AIMMS, Blue Yonder/JDA Supply Chain Strategist, Starboard Navigator, or comparable applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Visio, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative and service-oriented working style.
  • Willingness to learn new modeling tools and analytical techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Commercial real estate experience.
  • Experience in distribution and/or fulfillment center design using AutoCAD, Draftsight, or comparable applications.
  • Understanding of distribution/fulfillment center functional processes.
  • Experience in inventory optimization modeling and transportation modeling/route optimization.
