Consultant, User Experience (UX) Designer

About the position

Trissential is seeking a Consultant, User Experience (UX) Designer to join our client team remotely in Rochester, MN. In this role, you'll bring your creative vision and expertise to enhance features that directly impact user interaction with in-room displays. Guided by a lead designer and a collaborative team of UX researchers, you'll play a key role in creating intuitive and engaging user experiences. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX researchers to translate user insights into impactful designs
• Work with product management teams in an Agile environment to align design deliverables with business goals
• Create accessible designs compliant with WCAG standards to ensure inclusivity
• Design intuitive user journeys, navigation structures, and interfaces for web, apps, and connected devices
• Facilitate design workshops and present cohesive design proposals to stakeholders
• Advocate for user needs and work cross-functionally to deliver seamless, user-centric solutions

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong foundation in human-centered design (HCD) principles
• Demonstrated ability to work across the end-to-end design process, from research and prototyping to iteration and evaluation
• Proficiency in Figma and other design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Mural
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills to engage teams and stakeholders
• Ability to create designs for accessibility and security-sensitive environments, particularly in healthcare settings
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, defining user stories and supporting sprint planning

• Experience in healthcare or hospital settings
• Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in inpatient and outpatient care environments
• Knowledge of usability considerations for diverse user groups, including those with complex medical conditions
