About the position

The Consultant position focuses on building and configuring infrastructure in AWS Cloud using Terraform, while also managing integrated deployment workflows across development, testing, and production environments. The role requires strong technical skills in database administration, cloud services, and automation, with an emphasis on ensuring high availability, security, and compliance in database management.

Responsibilities

  • Build and configure infrastructure in AWS Cloud using Terraform.
  • Modify Terraform modules based on project requirements.
  • Manage integrated deployment workflows across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate AWS Cloud deployments using Python with Boto3.
  • Implement database design and architecture for relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Optimize database performance through query optimization and index management.
  • Implement backup strategies and disaster recovery planning for databases.
  • Manage AWS database services including Amazon RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
  • Utilize AWS CLI and SDKs for task automation.
  • Monitor and log database performance using tools like Amazon CloudWatch.
  • Ensure high availability and scalability of databases through Multi-AZ deployments and read replicas.
  • Migrate on-premises databases to AWS using Database Migration Service (DMS).
  • Implement IAM policies for database access and ensure compliance with security standards.

Requirements

  • 4.5-8 years of experience in AWS Cloud development and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
  • Strong knowledge of Python and Boto3 for automation.
  • Experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, and Lambda.
  • Core database administration skills including database design, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.
  • Familiarity with AWS database services like Amazon RDS and DynamoDB.
  • Understanding of security management practices for databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS Glue and AWS Data Pipeline for ETL operations.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements such as GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD integration.
