About the position

The Consulting Architect at Elastic plays a crucial role in delivering Elastic solutions and expertise to drive customer business value. This position involves working closely with various teams to facilitate strategy, design, and capacity planning in mission-critical environments, while also advocating for customer needs and building strong relationships. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge and customer-facing skills to ensure successful engagements and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Elastic solutions and elastic stack expertise to drive customer business value from our products
• Facilitate strategy, roadmap, design, and capacity planning in mission-critical environments workshops
• Build strong customer advocacy and relationships while communicating effectively
• Develop demos and proof-of-concepts that highlight the value of the Elastic Stack and Solutions
• Adapt and accelerate Elastic solutions along with data modeling, query development, and optimization
• Drive and manage project objectives, requirements gathering, project tasks/milestones, and timelines
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and support teams to identify feature improvements and product defects
• Engage with the Elastic Sales team to scope opportunities and assess technical risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related engineering discipline preferred
• Minimum 3 years as a Search Engineer or Search Architect
• Experience in Elasticsearch, Vector and GenAI preferred
• Deep knowledge of E-Commerce search solutions
• Experience with query development and relevancy tuning
• Knowledge of implementing and fine-tuning Natural Language Processing (NLP) use cases
• Understanding of open source machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch
• Experience working as a consultant on professional services engagements
• Public speaking experience to large audiences on enterprise infrastructure software technology
• Hands-on experience and understanding of Elasticsearch and/or Lucene
• Strong experience with large distributed systems and application infrastructure
• Knowledge of information retrieval and/or analytics domain
• Understanding and/or certification in technologies like Kubernetes, Linux, Java, Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kafka, Redis, Lucene.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker
• Knowledge of additional programming languages beyond the required proficiency
• Experience in a remote working environment.
