Responsibilities

  • Independently lead and direct teams in the delivery of complex performance improvement engagements.
  • Create collaborative, high performing work environments while addressing issues and ensuring successful client outcomes.
  • Manage engagement-wide economics, such as budgets, invoicing, and billing.
  • Quantify financial and operational benefits for performance improvement initiatives.
  • Identify risks to achieving projected outcomes and develop solutions to address data gaps or risks.
  • Create presentations and proposals and deliver those with impact to key client stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships while leading a multi-faceted change process.
  • Demonstrate change management expertise and positively influence change in complex environments.
  • Provide team leadership including role definition, team building, coaching/mentoring, and performance management.
  • Build and maintain a professional network and identify business development opportunities.
  • Complete all assigned instructed courses and compliance trainings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel every week up to 80% (Monday-Thursday with occasional onsite Fridays).
  • Strong leadership and management skills aligning to Huron's core values and competencies.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written.
  • Interpersonal skills needed to quickly establish relationships of trust and collaboration.
  • Ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff.
  • Ability to contribute on multiple projects of differing scale and duration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Direct supervisory experience of both individuals and teams.
  • 8-10 years of consulting and/or healthcare operations experience.
  • US Work Authorization required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant hospital operations experience directing a department and/or team-based projects with a focus on process re-engineering/performance improvement initiatives and change management.
  • Project leadership and workplan management experience within a consulting firm setting with a focus on healthcare supply chain services.
  • Specific experience in cost and expense management within administrative and corporate functions.
  • Strong understanding/methodology in reducing supply chain costs related to clinical supplies, physician preference items (PPI's), GPO process optimization, strategic sourcing, inventory management.
  • Specific clinical leadership experience in multiple and varied care settings with a focus on care delivery optimization and redesign.
