About the position

The Consulting Engineer position at Ampcus Inc. involves working with an established RF design group to enhance designs for RF nodes in the network. The role focuses on oDAS to small cell conversion design, modifications of existing oDAS designs, and creating necessary documentation and records for regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with strong organizational skills, capable of working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work with the RF design group to increase designs for RF nodes in the network.
• Perform oDAS to small cell conversion design and modifications of existing oDAS designs.
• Create plumbing diagrams and file E911/Regulatory documentation.
• Create and update Atoll records for mmWV & oDAS systems.
• Select and review sites for new locations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience with oDAS technology and architecture for vendors such as CROWN/ATC/EXTENET.
• Proficient in configuring oDAS sites in Atoll.
• RF Design Experience with Samsung equipment.
• Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as LTE/VoLTE/5G (C-band/mmWV) technology.
• Experience in selecting the right antenna for 4G/5G technology.
• Familiarity with propagation modeling software such as Atoll.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
• Experience designing 5G/4G Small cells, mmWV.
• Preferred tool experience with Atoll and telecommunication-specific tools such as FUZE/SPM/CANVAS.
• Excel with VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.
