About The Position

The Consulting Partner for Utilities will focus on technology strategy and consulting to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives in the utilities sector, which includes electricity, water, gas, and renewable energy. This role involves partnering with clients, internal TCS teams, and third-party technology partners on existing projects, new pursuits, and points of view/proofs of concept to achieve accelerated business outcomes for clients in the Data and Analytics space. The position requires close collaboration with various Business Insights Segments, account teams, and customers to analyze and understand business processes, data ecosystems, technology solutions mappings, data architecture, and overall data management principles within the utilities sector. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing business and IT strategies that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, creating points of views, white papers, and offerings relevant to the utilities sector, and assisting in the selection, integration, and deployment of data analytics solutions, whether cloud-based or hybrid. The role also involves designing and optimizing cloud-based and on-premise Data & Analytics solutions tailored for the utility industry, driving digital transformation projects, and presenting TCS points of view and thought leadership in the utilities domain at industry forums or other agreed channels.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in IT consulting, particularly in the utilities sector.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data analytics, IoT, and AI applications in the utilities sector.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change management initiatives.
  • Extensive practical experience in Data Management and Data & Analytics solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Data Analytics landscape regarding vendors and technical solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the design and optimization of data analytics solutions tailored for the energy sector.
  • Knowledge in AI/GenAI solutions applicable in the energy domain.
