About the position

The Consulting, Solution Specialist role at Deloitte Consulting LLP involves providing software development and implementation services to help organizations maximize their technology investments. This position encompasses all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-go-live support, utilizing various programming languages and software platforms to create customized solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments.
  • Support all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
  • Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages.
  • Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture.
  • Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications, and draft technical and functional design documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements.
  • Research user-reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, and implement fixes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field.
  • 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Experience performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, utilizing Data Analysis, Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing Models.
  • Experience creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Azure ML Studio Designer, Visual Studio, PySpark and SQL.
  • Experience creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), visualizations of data trends, and data models by utilizing Azure ML, Jupyter Notebook, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Excel and PowerBI.
  • Experience designing and developing applications using Visual Studio Code, Python, Sklearn, Git and Dash.
  • Experience performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, and systems development utilizing Python, Azure ML Notebooks, Exploratory Data Analysis, Feature Engineering, Univariate and Bivariate Analysis.
  • Experience working with a team of developers to produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process.
