The Consulting Systems Engineer role within our Network Technology Solutions Group (NTSG) is pivotal in selling our innovative products and solutions to Cloud and Service Provider customers, particularly in the Silicon Valley area. This position requires a seasoned professional who will serve as the primary technical resource, leading engagements with prospective customers. The engineer will guide clients through the advantages and unique capabilities of NTSG products, identify relevant use cases, and assist in architecting solutions that meet customer needs. This includes supporting customers through the integration of IP/SDK and qualification phases, ultimately ensuring a successful release of their final product or system. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in network architectural design and troubleshooting, especially within large-scale datacenter and cloud environments. Proficiency in Software Defined Networking (SDN), Leaf-spine DC fabric, API integration, telemetry, and virtual networking is essential. Additionally, familiarity with SmartNICs, SR-IOV, hypervisors, and various networking protocols will be crucial for success in this role. The engineer will also be responsible for managing relationships with customers' technical teams, ensuring that technical deliverables are met, and contributing to the development of the NTSG product roadmap by relaying customer requirements to engineering and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical focal point for assigned customers covering all aspects of NTSG products.
• Facilitate new and existing customer engagements to help secure new design wins for NTSG.
• Serve as the technical expert to address customer requirements and solve technical challenges.
• Participate in building the NTSG product roadmap by providing customer requirements to engineering and marketing teams.
• Manage relationships and ensure technical deliverables with customers' technical teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in HW/SW development, Technical Marketing, System, Field or Application Engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a customer-facing role supporting Cloud customers, Tier 1 enterprise customers, Server, Storage or Networking OEM customers.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, including layers 2, 3, and 4.
• Knowledge of RDMA and solid knowledge of Linux/Unix.
• Self-motivated and dedicated.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Solution Architect Certification with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
