Responsibilities

• Ensure patients are appropriately registered for all service lines.
• Perform eligibility verification and obtain pre-certifications or authorizations.
• Make financial arrangements and request payments for services.
• Perform cashiering functions and clear registration errors.
• Maintain close working relationships with clinical partners for effective communication.
• Provide PBX (switchboard) coverage and support as needed.
• Verify medical necessity in accordance with CMS standards and communicate coverage information to patients.
• Alert physician offices to issues with insurance verification.
• Register patients for all services and achieve department-specific accuracy goals.
• Create accurate estimates to maximize up-front cash collections.

Requirements
