About the position

The Consumer Access Supervisor at AdventHealth Riverview is responsible for directing and managing the Consumer Access team, ensuring that patients are properly registered for services, verifying eligibility, obtaining pre-certifications, and managing financial arrangements. This role emphasizes accountability, productivity, and quality of service, while also providing training and support to team members. The Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining departmental operations and liaising with other teams within the revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage staff in performing Consumer Access activities.
• Ensure patients are appropriately registered for all service lines.
• Perform eligibility verification and obtain pre-certifications or authorizations.
• Make financial arrangements and request payments for services.
• Perform cashiering functions and clear registration errors.
• Monitor staff productivity levels and quality of output.
• Resolve workplace-related issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure Consumer Access functions meet or exceed key performance indicators.
• Provide training to team members and manage their schedules.
• Oversee efficient departmental operations and engage with staff.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or two years of direct Patient Access experience.
