About the position

The Consumer Banker II at First Financial Bank is responsible for deepening client relationships by managing existing accounts and prospecting for new clients. This role involves providing exceptional client service, adhering to compliance and regulatory standards, and collaborating with internal partners to meet clients' financial needs. The position emphasizes sales and service goals while ensuring a first-class client experience.

Responsibilities

• Open accounts and perform maintenance as necessary.
• Run a Teller drawer as needed by management.
• Engage clients through active calling and follow-up conversations.
• Partner with internal teams to provide expertise to clients.
• Conduct timely follow-up calls with clients.
• Maintain operational and risk management standards.
• Assist clients with transactions via branch, drive-thru, phone, and email.
• Model First Financial's mission and values for peers and coworkers.
• Adhere to compliance and regulatory procedures.
• Collaborate with District Specialists to attract and retain clients.
• Function as a trusted advisor to clients using the First Client Conversation Model.
• Participate in site center huddles and meetings to support sales and service activities.
• Meet or exceed sales, service, and referral goals set by management.
• Provide digital assistance for clients using online banking services.
• Stay informed about bank products, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of client service experience in a retail environment.
• 3-4 years of sales and service experience with a proven track record in achieving goals.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain notary authorization.
• Strong bank product knowledge and solid sales skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience in sales preferred.
