About the position

The Consumer Finance Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a branch, ensuring effective lending practices, managing staff, and achieving sales and delinquency targets. This role involves exercising lending authority, developing business relationships, and maintaining compliance with company policies while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise lending authority when reviewing and approving applications.
  • Manage retention and maintenance of existing accounts to achieve branch sales and delinquency targets.
  • Coach branch staff by providing actionable feedback to minimize turnover and create a positive environment.
  • Prepare and submit reports reflecting branch activity and growth.
  • Develop additional business by networking with local establishments and building community relations.
  • Implement internal branch auditing procedures to control negotiable items and company records.
  • Manage approval of exceptions to policy as authorized by management.
  • Resolve product, service, and policy-related obstacles for customers using problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor and approve monthly expenses in line with the annual business plan.
  • Investigate and resolve customer and employee inquiries and complaints promptly.
  • Attract and interview high-quality talent, making recommendations for vacancies.
  • Participate in company meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the Consumer Lending and/or Financial Services industry.
  • Two (2) years of successful supervisory experience or completion of a lending training program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration, Economics, or military rank equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office or similar programs.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and project leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English.
  • Good standing with applicable licenses to sell insurance products.
