About the position

The Director of Consumer FP&A at PayPal will lead financial planning and reporting processes across the Consumer Business Unit (BU), consolidating information across various products. This role encompasses comprehensive financial reporting for the full P&L, including revenue, transaction margin, and operating expenses. The Director will collaborate closely with finance points of contact supporting Consumer BU products, manage key FP&A processes, and provide insights into business performance and financial results. This position is pivotal in driving financial narratives and supporting investment decision-making while leading a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and reporting processes across the Consumer BU.
  • Manage key FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close.
  • Review and communicate performance against defined targets.
  • Perform variance and sensitivity analyses on revenue performance for Consumer BU.
  • Provide consolidated financial tracking and analysis to the CFO and other stakeholders.
  • Drive conversations with cross-functional partners to consolidate financials for reporting and analysis.
  • Develop, optimize, and standardize FP&A processes and automation opportunities.
  • Support and drive planning of investment decision-making.
  • Synthesize and communicate the financial narrative for Consumer to executives and the Board of Directors.
  • Lead and grow a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional related experience, preferably in Fintech or payments processing businesses.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; MBA/Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field is a bonus.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven track record in dynamic, medium/large-size technology, e-commerce, or financial institutions.
  • Detail-oriented and highly analytical individual with a desire for excellence.
  • Superior relationship building and organizational influence skills.
