We are seeking a Consumer Goods Product Development & Production Manager to lead our growing team. We are a small and highly-creative consumer product development company with a reputation for being creative, capable, agile, and willing to take on new challenges and projects. The ideal candidate will possess these same qualities and will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development process, from prototyping to finished product, ensuring that our goods meet the high standards expected by our clients and consumers. Our products are marketed and sold through large retail chains and television media, and we pride ourselves on our full-cycle expertise in consumer goods manufacturing, particularly overseas. In this role, you will lead the team in the creation of new products and product revisions, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to specification. You will communicate with overseas manufacturers, primarily in China, from product initiation through shipping, and will be responsible for troubleshooting production and quality assurance issues as they arise. You will create and manage project and task schedules for all product projects, manage production workflow and resources, and participate in cross-team planning and collaboration. Additionally, you will meet with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and communicate progress to the team, while also contributing to process refinement and workflow optimization. The position requires a detailed understanding of consumer goods manufacturing methodologies and processes, particularly those related to overseas production. You will need to be comfortable with common software programs like Google Drive and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and be willing to learn new tools and programs as necessary. With over 10 years of experience in a similar position, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Creativity, a positive attitude, and the ability to switch gears quickly are essential, as is the ability to lift 25 pounds.
