Responsibilities

  • Provide a judgment of consumer level quality on LG products to represent the US end user's expectations.
  • Gather and analyze primary and secondary data through research.
  • Generate consumer-centric reporting to excavate insights.
  • Track competitor movement in the Home Appliance industry and new product/feature through published information.
  • Report on the impact of competitor products and features through VOC research or other appropriate methodologies.
  • Coordinate consumer respondent recruiting process (time, quality, etc.).
  • Use subscription and internet resources to prepare reports on trends in Home and Home Appliance related industries.
  • Identify appropriate research methodologies for specific research needed.
  • Cultivate valid research tools with minimal changes.
  • Promote the 'voice of the consumer' throughout the organization towards product innovation.
  • Collaborate with other team members to support research efforts on behalf of NPI features and usability.
  • Support ethnographic projects for product segmentation to better understand US consumers preferences and behaviors.
  • Explore new ideas to screen/test/evaluate per actual consumer level usage characteristics and usage patterns.
  • Co-work with R&D team to itemize important consumer pain points in Home Appliances.
  • Support the video creation with being in the video and scripting.
  • Cultivate VOC insights derived from consumer reviews online, mass medium and social media sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills required.
  • Familiar with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience with subscription resource data collection / Knowledge with Survey Monkey, SPSS and/or Minitab is preferred.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook) is preferred.
