About the position

The Consumer Loan Documentation Specialist at United Heritage Credit Union is responsible for processing title documents to ensure lien perfection in Texas. This role is crucial for enhancing consumer lending experiences while delivering high-quality customer service. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with opportunities for ongoing training and career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain positive internal and external relationships.
• Audit loans to ensure setup and processing meet credit union, state, and federal guidelines.
• Process tax and title documents for titling and registration accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate with dealerships, banks, credit unions, and DMV to obtain necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with state requirements and DMV regulations in all work.
• Post accounting entries related to DMV transactions.
• Verify costs and transactions for vehicle sales to ensure appropriate sales tax is collected.
• Record and release titles in VinTek.
• Identify, discuss, and resolve errors and issues.
• Verify or prepare all archived documents.
• Validate and clear GL exceptions in a timely manner.
• Prepare and validate monthly vendor remittance for loan-related products.
• Perform miscellaneous duties within lending, including call center support.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in a dealership business office, lending department, or related financial industry environment required.
• Experience in loan auditing, title work processing, or account resolution preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish desired.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with TxDOT, NADA, Symitar, Synapsys, Docusign, and Teres software programs or similar credit and auto-related programs preferred.
