About the position

The Consumer Loan Officer II is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with members and potential members through the offering of consumer loan products. This role involves a consultative approach to identify financial solutions that meet the needs of members, ensuring a high level of service and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Process new loan requests in a high-volume environment.
• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to members and potential members to offer products and services.
• Make loan decision recommendations based on analysis of loan applications and credit data.
• Communicate loan decisions and terms clearly to applicants.
• Provide counseling to members on improving their credit for future applications when appropriate.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documents necessary for funding consumer loans.
• Utilize consultative sales techniques to offer a variety of products and services that meet borrowers' financial needs.

Requirements

• 1-3 years' experience in a retail banking or sales environment.
• Ability to pass various background checks, including California criminal background check.
• Experience with personal computers and related software.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and write routine reports.
• Strong mathematical skills to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions.
