About the position

The position involves performing a variety of duties to support the assigned consumer credit function, coordinating work within the unit or department, as well as with other departments and units. The role includes reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor, responding to inquiries or requests for information, and assisting the immediate supervisor with administrative tasks to support department/unit operations. The employee will maintain appropriate records and provide assigned reports.

  • Ensures that all activities and work functions adhere to compliance requirements as defined in company policies and procedures as well as state/federal laws and regulations.
  • Assists with the consumer loan and mortgage application processing tasks, e.g., obtains required information, compiles data, etc. as directed.
  • Verifies and processes a wide variety of credit information which will become part of the credit file.
  • Performs various clerical duties such as ordering appraisals.
  • Files information and helps maintain consumer files ensuring that documentation is current, complete and sufficient.
  • Processes bills to the appropriate account on a timely manner as needed.
  • Prepares a variety of correspondence, such as adverse action notes; calculates payment estimates, amortization schedules and disclosures.
  • Assists in the loan process by entering loan information on documents preparation software to generate closing documents for various types of loans.
  • Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the unit or department as well as with other units and departments.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness.
  • Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule.
  • Assists the immediate supervisor with various administrative tasks to support department/unit operations.
  • Will assist consumer department with all duties that pertain to the closing requirements.
  • Lends support to the loan servicing and origination loan departments with various functions as needed.
  • Assists with HMDA/CRA review by verifying completion and accuracy of information on loan applications.
  • Obtains and maintains annually registration with the National Mortgage and Licensing System and Registry as required under the provisions of the SAFE Act.
  • Assists in the achievement of goals assigned to the Consumer Department as part of the assigned department's annual operating plan.
