About the position

The Consumer Product Strategic Analyst III at Bank of America is responsible for performing complex analyses to identify fraud networks using graph analytics. This role aims to minimize loss exposure and enhance customer experience by evaluating data to assess potential fraud risks and create effective mitigation strategies. The analyst will work closely with various teams to deploy advanced analytical solutions that reduce fraud losses and improve client interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex analysis of financial models, market data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve risk and profitability.
  • Utilize systems such as Excel, SAS, SQL, and Tableau to provide analytical support on strategies and ensure goals are met.
  • Evaluate data to assess potential fraud risk and create mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct link analysis and graph analytics to identify and mitigate fraud networks.
  • Present analytical findings to all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in big data and analytics, analyzing over 10 million records.
  • Proficient in SQL and one of SAS, Python, or Java, with the ability to write and debug automation processes in Pyspark.
  • Strong critical problem-solving skills, including hypothesis testing and deployment of solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and work with limited direction on complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced Quantitative degree (Masters or PhD).
  • Experience in process automation and improvement using Python/Java.
  • Strong background in statistical learning, time series, or anomaly detection.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial services, particularly in fraud, credit, or cyber security.
  • Proficient with H2O or similar advanced analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of graph databases such as Neo4j or Tigergraph.
