About the position

The Contact Center Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing patient interactions and scheduling within a healthcare setting. This position requires effective communication and organizational skills to ensure a smooth operation of the contact center, while adhering to compliance and quality standards. The coordinator will work under the direction of management, supporting the overall mission of advocating for patient quality of life and maintaining organizational values.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone calls and handle all calls appropriately.
  • Schedule appointments for new and existing patients.
  • Enter patient demographics, insurance, and referral information into EMR.
  • Cancel and reschedule appointments as assigned.
  • Maintain and follow HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Assist during assigned duty hours and participate in department activities.
  • Promote independence and encourage socialization among patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior medical office experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to fluently speak and read English.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Acceptable results on background screenings and checks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Ability to work independently and with patients directly.
