About The Position

The Contact Representative position is located in the Business Office of the White Earth Service Unit. The primary role is to serve as the Alternate Resources Benefits Coordinator, responsible for identifying patients eligible for alternate resources and assisting them in securing these benefits. This position involves advocacy for Indian patients, conducting interviews, and providing support throughout the application process for alternate resources.

Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment examination.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must have Measles and Rubella immunization if born after 1957 and seasonal influenza immunization is required for all staff.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to entrance on duty.
• Must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Act as an advocate for Indian patients in securing alternate resources.
• Identify persons who may be eligible for alternate resources through effective screening and interviewing methods.
• Assist patients with applications for alternate resources, including providing transportation and making home/hospital visits.
• Interpret rules and regulations for patients regarding alternate resources.
• Collaborate with facility staff to identify and utilize all available alternate resources for the Indian population.
• Follow up on all pending claims and work closely with families and agencies.
