About the position
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team, responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role emphasizes a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of vehicles including truck driving, tractor-trailer, flatbed, and container.
- Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while maintaining accurate delivery logs.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle at all times.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.
Requirements
- Proven experience in truck driving, route driving, or as a delivery driver.
- Familiarity with tanker operations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Capability to handle physical demands such as lifting heavy freight when necessary.
