About the position
The Container Driver at All American Waste is responsible for the safe operation of heavy-duty trucks to deliver and remove dumpsters for residential and commercial services. This role emphasizes efficiency, compliance with transportation regulations, and exceptional customer service while maintaining the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to deliver and remove dumpsters.
- Service, clean, and maintain dumpsters.
- Empty vehicle at disposal site.
- Stay in radio contact with and respond to requests from Dispatcher.
- Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
- Assist other Drivers with Routes when directed.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report any issues.
- Complete route work accurately and on time.
- Take an active role in improving safety and health in the workplace.
- Receive complaints from customers and report issues to Dispatch.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies.
Requirements
- Appropriate Commercial Driver License, where applicable.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Able to meet all DOT requirements.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
