At Altec, we are seeking a Content and Instructional Designer who will play a crucial role in creating health and safety training materials and informational content tailored to well-defined subjects. This position operates under limited supervision, allowing for creativity and innovation in developing content that meets the specific needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to serve as a lead resource for other Content Designers, guiding them in best practices and effective content creation strategies. The primary purpose of this position is to collaborate with end users and subject matter experts to identify the most effective methods for addressing training or performance needs, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and health regulations. The Content and Instructional Designer will solicit feedback from stakeholders to ensure that the training materials not only meet the needs of the end users but also align with the overarching business goals. This role involves creating engaging learning activities, course content, and job aids that are efficient and effective. In addition to content creation, the designer will integrate compliance requirements into the training materials, ensuring that complex topics are communicated in an easily understandable manner. The role also includes designing various instructional materials such as illustrations, diagrams, animations, infographics, presentations, and online courses. The designer will be responsible for capturing and editing photos and videos necessary for the training content, reinforcing Altec's unique culture through all training materials and communications. Furthermore, the designer will maintain training records, generate reports, and schedule training activities to meet organizational needs while staying informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in safety and health training.
