About The Position

The Content Claims Specialist - In-House - Level I role at Crawford & Company is designed to facilitate the claims handling process by acting as an intermediary between insurance adjusters and policyholders. This position focuses on the accurate and timely processing of content claims, utilizing a web-based platform for claims processing. Specialists will work from home, managing multiple claims and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the claims process.

Requirements

• A Secondary School diploma.
• Some prior background/experience in the property claims industry is an asset.
• Ability to provide an adequate workspace, free of noise.
• Employee must provide their own high-speed internet service (a portion will be reimbursed).
• Strong computer skills (MS Office/Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and new technology.
• Willingness to learn and continuously improve.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and pricing of contents based on like, kind and quality valuation.
• Submit completed claims reports to insurance adjusters and close files to meet performance cycle times.
• Perform content valuation according to company performance and productivity standards.
• Ensure consistent and quality turnaround of all claims in accordance with productivity standards.
• Report and record all time spent on each claim file on a daily basis.
• Maintain claim-related notes in the company's claims system (exclaim).
• Ensure effective and professional communications with all key stakeholders in the claims process.
• Promote edjuster's brand, image, and reputation in a professional manner.
