About the position

As a Content & Communications Manager at Carolina Handling, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the organization's public image and brand awareness through strategic public relations campaigns. Your responsibilities will include managing media relations, creating engaging content, and coordinating public events to promote the company's mission. You will also ensure effective communication with stakeholders and analyze the effectiveness of PR efforts, contributing to a cohesive public presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify key messaging and target audiences to maximize the impact of PR efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and other media professionals.
  • Pitch story ideas, arrange interviews, and respond to media inquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Write and distribute press releases, newsletters and other PR materials.
  • Develop and manage high-quality, SEO-optimized content creation and distribution, including blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, websites, videos and other communication platforms.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, speeches, and other communication materials for executives and other key personnel.
  • Monitor media coverage and public perception of the organization by department provided resources.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or required to support the company's overall operations and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a public relations manager or in a similar role.
  • Minimum experience of 7 years.
  • Strong portfolio of successful PR campaigns and media relations work.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of digital PR strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Creative and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in using PR software and media monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of SEO tactics and how to implement them effectively.
