About the position

As a Creative Content Creator at Ogilvy, you will be an integral part of our social creative team, which is a close-knit group of creatives dedicated to producing fresh, bold, and distinctive social content. This role presents a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with both the strategic and creative teams at Ogilvy, as well as with some of the industry's leading social and content experts. Your primary mission will be to conceptualize big ideas that are inherently social and to create best-in-class content for social programs or integrated campaigns. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and hungry, ready to take on significant challenges. You should have a deep passion for your craft and the ability to work across a broad range of creative tactics. As a new wave creative, you should be a dreamer, doer, and maker, with the audacity to believe you can change the industry. You will need to work independently, providing thought starters for designers, and be capable of transitioning from high-level thinking to the creation of tangible assets. Your role will involve working alongside a full production crew or in various settings, such as an office or apartment, to produce great content. A deep understanding of social platforms, including their functional mechanics and best practices, is essential. You should be chronically online, able to discern when a trend is appropriate for a brand and when it is not. Additionally, you must be able to articulate specific ideas on how content can come to life across different platforms, adapting based on community-led feedback and the brand's role in social media. Collaboration is key, and you will be expected to work as a team player, quickly adapting to changes and maintaining a maker mentality.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the team to develop and present creative concepts for clients and new business to help build brands on Social.
  • Attends and captures content at shoots and events.
  • Works closely with art directors and designers to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone, style, and brand guidelines.
  • Writes, shoots, edits, and produces content owned across multiple channels.
  • Understands business objectives and audience demographics to successfully land the messaging.
  • Translates creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective concepts.
  • Proof-reads and vets copy to ensure consistency in tone, grammar, and messaging before assets are published.
  • Stays abreast with global cultural trends and industry updates, proactively developing timely ideas for relevance.
  • Ideates individually and collaboratively on innovative content ideas designed to meet long-term goals for social media engagement and audience growth.
  • Identifies user and community-generated content that should be reposted, gains permissions, and re-edits audio tracks as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant copywriting and content creation experience in the social space.
  • Strategic and conceptual thinking.
  • Ability to lead scrappy content creation.
  • Passion for learning and self-improvement.
  • Proactive and a self-starter.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable and able to handle changes in briefs, priorities, and edits.
