About the position

Abound Credit Union is seeking a highly creative copywriter to fill the position of Content Creator. This individual will focus on developing written/verbal content strategies across all communication platforms, creating increased earned media opportunities. The role involves working closely with the Communications Manager to develop content strategies that strengthen earned, owned, and paid media, while managing workflows surrounding content management distribution. The ideal candidate will be an expert storyteller, capable of creating engaging content that resonates with the audience and promotes the brand effectively. The position also requires a commitment to community engagement and collaboration with the marketing department to support various initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop content strategies that strengthen earned, owned, and paid media.
• Manage workflows surrounding content management distribution and placement of personalized content material.
• Enhance the credit union's earned media strategies to strengthen social sharing and online reputation.
• Collaborate with PR consultants and Financial Education Professionals to ensure effective communication with members and communities.
• Work with the creative team to develop engaging copy and content that aligns with brand identity.
• Participate in community initiatives and fundraisers to promote Abound's products and values.
• Utilize content management systems, online reputation management systems, marketing automation systems, and social media tools for content creation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
• Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and willingness to support team members.
• Solid understanding of advertising, marketing, and brand voice.
