About the position

The Content Creator - Photographer/Videographer at The Halal Guys is responsible for producing and managing high-quality video and photo content that enhances the brand's presence across various social media platforms. This role involves overseeing the content calendar, collaborating with influencers, and ensuring that all content aligns with the brand's voice and marketing initiatives. The position is based at the corporate headquarters in NYC and plays a crucial role in driving engagement and brand awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality video and photo content for social media, marketing campaigns, and internal use.
  • Develop creative concepts for short-form videos and engaging content to drive brand awareness.
  • Plan and organize all aspects of content production, including location scouting and scheduling.
  • Direct and execute photo and video shoots, ensuring high-quality results that align with brand guidelines.
  • Edit and finalize content for use across various platforms, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Maintain and execute a content calendar, publishing daily across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Manage outreach to social media influencers and creators, fostering partnerships and coordinating content collaborations.
  • Work with the internal team to develop a content calendar, typically scheduling 3-4 posts per week for each platform.
  • Schedule and conduct regular on-site shoots, primarily in New York City and Queens, as well as at new store grand openings nationwide.
  • Provide draft versions of posts and reels for internal review, adjusting as needed based on feedback.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in content creation, social media management, or a related role within an agency or brand.
  • Proven ability to create engaging and innovative short-form video content for social media.
  • Proficiency with video and photo equipment, lighting, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Photoshop).
  • Deep understanding of current social media platforms, trends, and best practices for maximizing engagement.
  • Experience managing content production from ideation through to final delivery, including juggling multiple projects at once.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous in ensuring content quality, consistency, and brand alignment.

Nice-to-haves

  • A degree in marketing, communications, filmmaking, or related field is a plus, though relevant experience is equally valuable.
