About the position

We are seeking a creative and dynamic individual to join our team as a Content Creator Producer-Editor. This role is pivotal in developing engaging and shareable content across various platforms, including social media, digital, and traditional media. The ideal candidate will possess strong video editing skills and a keen understanding of social media trends, enabling them to create visually appealing content that aligns with our brand. The responsibilities include transforming imaginative concepts into captivating video content while adhering to Zumba's brand guidelines and production standards. The candidate will independently shoot, edit, and produce content, collaborating closely with the consumer senior producer, social media department, and creative partners to execute effective content strategies across various platforms. In this role, you will lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for social media content campaigns, research industry trends, and develop creative concepts that resonate with our target audience. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging content for various platforms, collaborating with the marketing team to ensure alignment with brand guidelines. Additionally, you will manage all aspects of video production, including pre-production, production, and post-production, while occasionally directing live shoots. Your ability to create compelling scripts and storyboards will be essential, as will your collaboration with cross-functional teams to align content with overall business objectives. This position requires a proactive communicator who can manage project statuses across necessary teams and ensure the delivery of all necessary products for shoots. You will also be tasked with organizing material from all projects and maintaining a consistent visual style across all videos. Other duties and special projects may be assigned as needed, making this a versatile and engaging role for a passionate content creator.

Responsibilities

  • Lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for social media content campaigns.
  • Research industry trends, competitor strategies, and cultural phenomena to inspire new content concepts.
  • Develop creative concepts, themes, and narratives that resonate with our target audience and align with brand objectives.
  • Develop and produce high-quality, engaging, and original content for various digital, traditional, and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand brand guidelines and messaging objectives.
  • Experiment with new styles and techniques to keep up with industry changes.
  • Edit, produce, and post-produce short-form, long-form, and storytelling videos.
  • Collaborate with the social media department and partners to develop and execute creative concepts.
  • Fully manage projects including pre-production, production, and post-production.
  • Occasionally direct live shoots and organize material from all projects for archival.
  • Create compelling scripts and storyboards for video content.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align content with business objectives.
  • Communicate project status proactively across necessary teams and departments.
  • Ensure delivery of all necessary products, props, and wardrobe for shoots.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Film Production, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a social media content creator/editor.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and other editing software; knowledge of DSLR cameras and technical troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc.).
  • Strong negotiation, budget management, and problem-solving skills.
