About the position

The Content Creator for Social Media at Amazon.com Services LLC is a pivotal role within the North American Stores Marketing team, focusing on multimedia content creation and editing. This position requires a deep understanding of social media culture, trends, and best practices, particularly in the realms of home, fashion, and beauty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing engaging content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest, showcasing viral products and driving performance across key performance indicators (KPIs) such as follower growth, impressions, traffic, engagement rate, and revenue. In this role, the Content Creator will work closely with various internal and external teams to support key initiatives and events. The individual must possess a proven track record in producing high-quality content that resonates with audiences and drives engagement. Strong ownership and clear communication with stakeholders are essential, as the role involves managing multiple work streams and anticipating potential blockers to achieve goals and complete milestones. The fast-paced and ambiguous environment requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure. Key responsibilities include ideating video concepts, filming original video assets using mobile devices, and editing content within social media apps. The Content Creator will also contribute to the creative strategy by brainstorming with Organic and Paid Social teams to develop content ideas that leverage current trends and pop culture. Keeping up with the latest social media formats and ad types is crucial, as is presenting concepts and insights during stakeholder reviews. This role is integral to the mission of making Amazon the most-loved shopping destination by delivering inspiring and relevant content that aligns with customer shopping missions.

Responsibilities

  • Produce TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest content (videos and stills) showcasing viral products.
  • Ideate video concepts, filming all original video assets (on mobile device) and editing whether in or outside of the TikTok and Instagram apps.
  • Contribute to creative strategy by brainstorming with Organic Social and Paid Social teams to create content ideas that infuse trends and pop culture that will increase engagement.
  • Partner alongside stakeholders to ensure content represents our brand identity and delivers on objectives.
  • Keep up with the latest social media trends, formats, and ad types.
  • Present concepts, creative deliverables, and learnings/insights in stakeholder reviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience in content production within the retail space.
  • Proficient with Adobe, Canva, and other editing and design software.
  • Strong ownership and communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and anticipate potential blockers.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
