About the position

MERS Goodwill is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Content Creator to join their Communications team. This role is essential in supporting the organization's mission of 'Changing Lives Through the Power of Work!' The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging content that raises awareness about the individuals served by Goodwill, while embodying the core values of diversity, integrity, passion, professionalism, respect, and responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Tell the story of persons served by MERS Goodwill to raise both internal and community awareness and emotional attachment to Goodwill.
  • Create high-quality and creative content for various digital platforms, including social media, website, digital signage, and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute content ideas that align with Goodwill's brand voice and objectives.
  • Produce visual content, such as videos, graphics, and photos, to enhance storytelling and engage with our audience.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance to optimize and improve future campaigns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure content remains fresh and relevant.
  • Monitor and maintain social media software including responding to comments/feedback.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Content Creator or similar role.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing planning.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
