About the position

As a Content Creator at Specialized, you will play a pivotal role in communicating the excitement and benefits of cycling to a diverse audience. This position is designed for a natural communicator who is not only passionate about cycling but also possesses the ability to simplify complex technologies into engaging and educational content. You will be based at our Global Headquarters in Morgan Hill, CA, working in a hybrid model, primarily in the office from Tuesday to Thursday. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and deploy educational videos and presentations that align with our marketing initiatives, ensuring that all content is consistent and effectively communicates our product offerings. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Specialized University (SU) team and various program leads to create high-quality educational assets that inform both retailers and riders about new products, technologies, and services. You will be tasked with understanding the nuances of Specialized products and how they enhance the cycling experience, acting as a product specialist and a source of truth for the team. Your storytelling skills will be essential as you craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audience, whether through video, print, or in-person presentations. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally with the Rider Care team to build a comprehensive product knowledge base that mitigates support issues and enhances the overall rider experience. Your role will also involve engaging with social media and utilizing ambassadors to amplify our messaging. Regular travel will be required to support content creation efforts, including retail visits and attendance at key cycling events. Ultimately, your passion for cycling and your ability to communicate effectively will help us share the joy of cycling with the world.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy educational videos and presentations for Specialized University.
  • Collaborate with marketing and program leads to create relevant content.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with the SU content services team for filming and editing needs.
  • Understand and communicate the benefits of Specialized technologies to riders and retailers.
  • Create product marketing assets for Retailer & Rider digital learning platforms.
  • Support the growth of the Specialized University program globally.
  • Engage with Rider Care to build a product knowledge base.
  • Create content for social media using ambassadors and internal voices.
  • Travel for retail visits and key cycling events to support content creation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of extensive bicycle or outdoor retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to craft presentations in PowerPoint and speak publicly on camera.
  • Familiarity with video and photo editing tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Independent problem solver with minimal supervision required.
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to provide and receive critique.
  • Ability to prioritize workload from multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Passionate bike enthusiast with a love for all types of cycling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong visualization skills to support written content with imagery.
  • Possess a current passport, driver license, and clean driving record.
