About the position

The Content Creator will be responsible for driving creative projects by developing, producing, and managing video and photography content for various platforms, including social media, e-commerce, and broadcast. This role involves the entire content cycle from brainstorming and planning to shooting, editing, and delivering polished assets, with a focus on showcasing the client's products in engaging ways. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with a passion for design and innovative products.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of content production, including concept brainstorming, scripting, storyboarding, studio scheduling, and managing on-location shoots.
  • Make technical and creative decisions related to lighting, locations, product placement, and set design to create visually engaging content.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to confirm production schedules, create call sheets, and manage timelines.
  • Develop high-quality content, such as product showcases, DIY tutorials, and social media posts, that aligns with brand objectives.
  • Manage photography retouching, mark up assets, and ensure that final visuals meet brand standards.
  • Design pitch decks for ideation meetings and presentations to effectively communicate creative concepts.
  • Personally create engaging written, visual, and video content for marketing and social media.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all content, aligned with Rust-Oleum's mission and values.
  • Build and manage relationships with internal clients, freelance crews, vendors, and talent.
  • Work with marketing teams to input and support new product launches and promotional efforts.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years in a production or content creation role, preferably within lifestyle, design, or home improvement industries.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom), and familiarity with Capture One.
  • Experience with project management software like Teamwork, Asana, or Monday.com.
  • Strong storytelling, copywriting, and visual design abilities. Familiarity with influencer marketing is a plus.
  • Understanding of studio lighting and production setups for both photography and video.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to work on multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
