About the position

The Content Creator is a pivotal role within WEAVE, responsible for the development and execution of the agency's communications strategy across various platforms, including branding, website management, social media, and both electronic and print publications. This position requires a highly collaborative individual who can integrate diverse perspectives from employees, survivors, board members, and community partners into a cohesive communications strategy that reflects the agency's mission and goals. The Content Creator will play a crucial role in ensuring that WEAVE's messaging is inclusive, equitable, welcoming, and accessible to all stakeholders. In this role, the Content Creator will execute a comprehensive content strategy specifically tailored for WEAVE's social media platforms, with a strong emphasis on video content aimed at increasing engagement and reach. Responsibilities include creating, editing, and producing high-quality video content for various social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, as well as for e-newsletters. The position also involves the production of communications documents and collateral, which requires collaboration across all divisions and departments, including content design, approval processes, vendor selection, and distribution. The Content Creator will be responsible for updating WEAVE's website to ensure that all content is current, engaging, and aligned with the organization's goals. Monitoring and analyzing content performance metrics will be essential to adjust strategies for improved engagement and reach. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the creation of other multimedia content, such as graphics, infographics, and photos, while staying informed about the latest trends and best practices in content creation, social media, and web design. The Content Creator will also support other communications and marketing initiatives as needed, monitor social media activity, and represent WEAVE at community events and professional networks as required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a comprehensive content strategy for WEAVE's social media platforms, focusing on video content to increase engagement and reach.
  • Create, edit, and produce quality video content for social media, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, e-newsletter and beyond.
  • Produce communications documents and collateral, collaborating across all divisions and departments, including content design, approval, vendor selection, and distribution.
  • Update WEAVE's website, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, adjusting strategies to improve engagement and reach.
  • Assist in the creation of other multimedia content, such as graphics, infographics, and photos.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in content creation, social media, and web design.
  • Support other communications and marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Monitor social media activity and notify the appropriate party when follow-up is needed.
  • Organize and maintain agency photos and images.
  • Represent WEAVE at community events and professional networks, as needed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA degree in digital media, marketing, communications or related field.
  • Minimum of one-year professional experience creating marketing materials and social media content.
  • High degree of knowledge and comfort using O365/Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Planner, Lists, and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience using digital design and scheduling platforms like Canva, Loomly, Constant Contact, and MailChimp.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite strongly preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to use project management tools and software, create project plans, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High degree of knowledge of social media channels and ability to develop tailored content based on audiences.
  • Proficiency with office machines, including computers, database systems, scanners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a cooperative, professional demeanor with clients, volunteers, staff and community members.
  • Occasional lifting of boxes up to 25 lbs.
  • Valid CA Driver's license and reliable transportation, including vehicle insurance.
