About the position

The Content Designer at Meta is responsible for crafting clear and engaging in-product language and experiences across various platforms, including mobile, desktop, AR/VR, and voice. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design product flows, features, and content frameworks that enhance user experience. The position requires a strong understanding of user experience design, systems thinking, and the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and persuasively.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, edit and test clear, compelling in-product language to help users and teams meet their goals.
• Apply systems thinking to the product, defining design system guidance and conducting audits of existing experiences.
• Utilize familiarity with code to update language in software and ensure in-product language is accurate.
• Solicit and provide feedback from UX design peers to improve product quality.
• Create high-fidelity design mocks using Figma and present design solutions.
• Collaborate with peers in engineering, design, research, marketing, and data science to launch products.
• Partner with the internationalization team to ensure high-quality product experiences in all languages.
• Influence product decisions and team strategy by identifying risks and aligning stakeholders.
• Independently identify and work on cross-team projects, facilitating design sprints and workshops.
• Build internal community and mentor other content designers.

Requirements

• 7+ years' experience in UX writing.
• Examples of finished wireframes or design mocks that have influenced team decision-making.
• Experience in simplifying and communicating complex ideas to broad audiences.
• Familiarity with tools for managing and updating content at scale.
• Experience with design systems and systems thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects with minimal direction and handle ambiguity.
