About the position

The Content Designer at Meta is responsible for crafting clear and human-centered product experiences through effective language and design. This role involves designing product flows, features, and in-product language across various platforms, including mobile, desktop, AR/VR, and voice. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to create intuitive products used by billions globally.

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, edit and test clear, compelling in-product language to help users and teams meet their goals.
  • Apply systems thinking to the product, including defining design system guidance and conducting audits of existing experiences.
  • Update language in code using internal tools and review code to ensure in-product language accuracy.
  • Solicit and provide feedback from UX design peers to enhance product quality.
  • Create high-fidelity design mocks in Figma and present design solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, research, marketing, and data science teams to take products from conception to launch.
  • Partner with the internationalization team to ensure high-quality product experiences in every language.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and influence product decisions and team strategy.
  • Identify and work on projects that span multiple teams, facilitating design sprints and workshops.
  • Build internal community, provide mentorship, and develop skills of other content designers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in UX writing.
  • Examples of finished wireframes or design mocks that have driven decision-making.
  • Experience in simplifying and communicating complex ideas to broad audiences.
  • Familiarity with tools for managing and updating content at scale.
  • Experience in design systems and systems thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects with minimal direction.
