About the position

As a Content Developer at Pearson VUE, you will collaborate with a team to create and maintain exam question databases, facilitate content development meetings, and manage examination translation projects. This role requires attention to detail and accuracy, as you will be responsible for ensuring that exams meet content specifications and are error-free. You will work closely with subject matter experts and other teams to develop valid and reliable exams, while also managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of Content Developers to build exams and maintain exam question databases.
• Prepare and facilitate content development meetings with subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Evaluate test items using best practices in assessment and statistical performance data.
• Manage item banks and assemble exam forms.
• Perform quality control tasks to ensure published exams meet content and functionality specifications.
• Conduct validations of computer-based examinations prior to publication.
• Document and escalate deviations in exams according to established protocols.
• Run full end-to-end quality checks of exams using proprietary software.
• Assist in the startup process for new clients and recommend item and exam development activities.
• Facilitate virtual and in-person workshops where SMEs write and review examination items.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of professional office work experience preferred.
• Experience as a content or test developer, or related coursework.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
