About the position

The Content Developer at Pearson VUE plays a crucial role in the development and management of certification exams. This position involves collaborating with a team to create and maintain exam question databases, facilitate content development meetings, and ensure the accuracy and quality of published exams. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively, contributing to the overall success of the Professional Certification Content Development team.

Responsibilities

• Build exams and create/maintain exam question databases.
• Prepare and facilitate content development meetings.
• Coordinate examination translation projects.
• Perform validations of computer-based examinations prior to publication.
• Document and escalate deviations in exams according to established protocols.
• Run full end-to-end quality checks of exams using proprietary software.
• Manage a workstream of overlapping projects and complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Prepare workshop materials and facilitate virtual and in-person activities with SMEs.
• Train SMEs on item writing best practices and item development software.
• Evaluate exam programs using statistical data and other criteria.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of professional office work experience preferred.
• Experience as content or test developer, related coursework, or other direct applicable experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, Sharepoint, OneDrive).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
